Michael Swift is a Real Estate Broker with over 22 years of real estate counseling experience.  He is a founding member of the Northern California Modification & Short Sale Brokers Group which meets monthly to discuss the ever changing strategies to help clients modify their mortgages or sell their properties through short sales.  Michael received his real estate license at the young age of 19 and focused primarily on helping people out of foreclosure through forbearance agreements and short sales for the next 4-5 years during the real estate down cycle of 1991-1995.  Due to his overwhelming success helping people with these complicated scenarios, he was recruited (1993) to Re/Max Executive as an Associate Broker to train all the office agents on how to negotiate forbearance agreements (the modifications of those days) and short sale transactions for their clients. 

 

Currently Michael is an Associate Broker with J. Rockcliff Realtors in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2012 Michael was ranked #13 in production out of 500+ agents at J. Rockcliff Realtors. Michael consults with agents from the 9 offices of J. Rockcliff Realtors on how to help their clients (For Free) through the modification process or how to successfully complete short sale transactions.  Michael holds the designations of Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), Certified Foreclosure Specialist (CFS), Short Sale Foreclosure Resource (SFR) Certified Short Sale Professional (CSP) and Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE).

 

Michael was a featured guest speaker at the 4th Annual Mortgage Servicing Convention in Dallas http://www.americanbanker.com/conferences/ms10/ and at the Best Practices in Short Sales/REO in San Diego http://www.nationalmortgagenews.com/conferences/ssr10/featured_speakers.html.
